I have just arrived with the train from Dresden and got off at the station of Bad Schandau where I had booked a room. The town is sort of the administrative centre of the area. However, the town is opposite to the train station, and there is a ferry boat taking you into town which only runs every 30 minutes (and for some reason not in direct conjunction with the arriving trains). But, hey, it is a wonderful view. You can see glimpses of Bad Schandau in the distance.
